Joe’s Lobster House — or, formally, Lobster House Joe’s — is one of the treasures of Staten Island restaurants. It started as a little storefront restaurant on Hylan Blvd by Seaver Avenue in the 1990’s — soon becoming always full as word got out of its fresh, cheap lobster and fish meals — including an amazing soft-shell crab — and super spicy sauced spaghetti.
Lobster House Joe’s II
After over 20 years, in 2018 or so Joe’s Lobster House added a 2nd, much larger location at the most southern end of Staten Island — Lobster House Joe’s II. It is a block from Raritan Bay in Tottenville — just off Arthur Kill Road and Veterans’ Road down from Home Depot.
The larger Lobster House Joe’s features a sitting area outside with an outdoor firepit and seating area.
The fish is always fresh and good, the Italian Marinara sauce is great, and the prices are moderate.
